The earth quake came here in Christchurch and slowed the plans down for my own gallery. Things got in the way, like the destruction of the foundation of my house.
Initially I wanted to transform one of the barns on the property, but that will have to happen later, as we have to wait for the earth quake commission to inspect the house start the rebuilding plans. As there are thousands of houses and families in Christchurch that are in more need then us. It might be a long wait.
So I asked my long suffering wife, Annie, if I could turn the large sunroom, that we don't really use, into a small artist studio, come gallery?
She surprised me, by saying yes.
So construction has started I have bought the boards and put them up. I will have 15 pictures framed for sale with prints in a plan-chest. My post cards and portfolios will be for sale too.
Next step is to find some good clip on lights, paint the boards
and design a sign.
I have got a paypal site for credit cards. Oh and of course I have to design a whole new web site.
I hope I get some visitors to my gallery over the world cup, even though all the games scheduled for Christchurch have been moved.
In three weeks I might have a small artists studio/gallery running.
Come and visit. I have a good coffee machine.
